So, it is more difficult to photograph 6 kiddos than I expected...but we tried anyway!

We didn't really end up with anything AMAZING of all 6 babies, but we managed to get a

few of Hannah that I am excited to say...she sort of likes!! YAY!!

I'll share one now...

and once I have more edited...I'll do another post!

Twenty Eleven has been quite a year and wow, has it flown by. Yes, we have had some heartache and tears, but I like to say that there are no Rainbows without Rain!! Storms help make us Better...help build us into the people God intended for us to be...when we lean on Him and Learn while in the storm, that is!!! Laced in between those little bumps and storms we have experienced great and fun things!!

I know it's been way too long since I last posted, but with the start of a new school year (we homeschool...yay)...I wanted to post on a regular basis and stay up to date on the fun stuff we'll be doing!

Well, it's been awhile since I posted, so I thought I would drop in with a line or two!!

What have we been up to?!!?

In October 2009...

We visited our local Pumpkin Patch for a super fun field trip!

My Lollipop Drawings became Stamps!!! Woo hoo!!! A dream come true!!!

Thank You Lord Jesus for making all things possible for those who love YOU!!!

The kids had some Fall Fun at my Mommy and Daddy's!!

Hannah coordinated the trimming of the tree, as I had NO time...sad, but true!

Made some Plates and Platters

We celebrated Hannah's 13th, Ella's 5th and Jussie's 2nd Birthday in December...

I was published in an online Card Magazine...

Our fabulous Homeschool group had a Super Fun RE-Gifting Exchange...

Made a new ornament for the tree...

Delivered some orders...

Did a photo shoot on the coldest day of the year (or at least it felt like it...hee hee)

with the 2 BEST Kids I have ever had the pleasure of photographing...

Snapped a photo of Eric and 4 of his 5 babies...that is a mighty Good man...

And ended our year thankful for all of the blessings God blessed us with and looking forward to 2010!!

Pioneer Day - Victory In Homeschooling

Our Homeschool Group - Victory In Homeschooling had a pioneer day!! Some of the adults and children dressed up. Each family brought some sort of Pioneer style (country, home cooking) dish to share. Mmmm, good good fun, fellowship and friends!!!

Eric and I went to Big Lots last night and Oh what a good thing.
I hit the jackpot!!

All of these Martha Stewart brand craft packages were only $2 each!! My sister used a few of these last year for her homeschool crafts, her kids loved them. They were priced anywhere between $10 and $14. So you can see what a savings I got!! Hurry to your local Big Lots! I believe that, Arts and Crafts is an important part of homeschooling!!!

My Little Landon graduated KG

This past Saturday, June the 6th my little Landon graduated from Kindergarten. Exactly, 17 years to the day that I graduated from high school!! Whew, time sure does fly...especially when you are having fun!! Landon is such a sweet soul, so kind and tenderhearted!!! He was so excited to be on stage, to be the leader (he was the first kindergartner), not shy like me at all!

On the way there he told the kids, "Now, get ready guys we are going to a party. Not a fun party, an important party. It has cookies and cake, but that's not the good part.

The good part is ME and I am gonna graduate! Please be good, so I can have a happy day"!!!

He did and we did!! One of my favorite parts was...A sweet young lady (also homeschooled and a friend of Hannah's) Holly sang the sweetest song (It made me cry)...although I didn't know at the time, it is a Taylor Swift song "The Best Day". Listen below.... I must admit Holly's version was better that Taylor's believe it or not!!!

Mother's Day 2009

I have had one of the Best Mother's Days ever!!!
I was awakened this morning by a sweet little voice saying "Happy Mother's Day Mommy"
My Little Landon was so excited, he ran back upstairs and brought the rest of my Sweet babies down with cards in hand. Each had a handmade card that Hannah had made with them and a store bought card that my Mom had loaded Hannah with when she spent the night with my Mom and Dad earlier in the week!!!

They all piled on our bed. I read each card. After, I read Hannah's I cried. Landon said, "Read mine again Mommy... I think you will cry" so I read his again and than just as he had predicted I cried!! (wink Wink) He loved it and jumped into my arms, thrilled to be able to comfort me!!!

No, I didn't get a huge bouquet of my favorite flowers, a big box of Candy or an exquisite piece of jewelry, but what I got was far more valuable to me....A day at home home with my family!!! I am so blessed to have these people in my life!!!

I love them everyone!!!!

Easter 2009

Wow! It felt as if Easter came and went quick this year. We have been super busy lately with Schooling, Volleyball, Soccer, MOPS, Co-Op, Art Classes, Stamp Club, blah blah blah...you know everyday life, that I almost forgot and let Easter slip right by. I was unprepared and had nothing planned. In fact, none of the kids except Hannah was even aware it was Easter so I was going to tell them the following Sunday that it was Easter and celebrate them. Well, after church we went to my parent's home and my brother, David was in full speed ahead, Easter Mode!! Yikes! I didn't bring a single basket or egg. Well, he ran to K-mart and my Mom cooked a wonderful dinner and boiled some eggs!! He managed to round up all sorts of basket like egg holders, not all baskets but perfect just the same. He put on an amazingly fun Easter Egg Hunt!!

The kids had a fantastic day!
Uncle David was so cool and he played with them well into the evening!!

I normally feel I need to do what a lot of us do...Buy new cute Easter clothing, decorate Eggs, create the most wonderful Easter baskets, go to church parade around, eat a big elaborate Easter lunch and end with the most wonderfully planned Egg Hunt!!
Not this year, the kids wore clothes they already had, we went to church and it wasn't about what we were wearing it was about THE LORD,
they didn't have baskets full of candy, but they had a fun filled day with family!
Thank you Father God for sending your Son to die for us and for blessing us with a
wonderful family!!!

feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.

from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.

cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.

Good Morning Everyone!!

It's a brand new, beautiful day that the Lord has made...I am gonna rejoice and be glad in it!!!

I have felt super blessed this week because my wonderful, Prince Charming husband has been off since Friday and we have had so much family fun!!
Thank you Lord Jesus for my Wonderful Family!!

Friday morning we headed up to Lexington for Hannah Volleyball State Tournament!! Wow, what a fun exciting weekend! Han and her team mates played so well! They brought home a 4th Place trophy, I feel they could have placed a bit higher, but there were a couple of girls on the team who I think the pressure of being at State may have gotten to them. Everyone is so proud of the girls, they are such a young, inexperienced team and they placed higher than we thought they would in the beginning...Go CCHE Lady Hawks!!

Monday, We just had a nice relaxing Family movie and game day! Tuesday, more family time and I went to my Pilates Class! FUn!!
Yesterday, Wednesday, we went to Richmond and to Lexington for me to shop at Hobby Lobby!!! Woo Hoo, everything I went for was 50% off.... LOve it!!!

Well today is LANDON's 6th Birthday!!!!
Yippee!! Happy Birthday Sweet Landon!! We love you!! It's so hard to believe my BABY Boy is turning into a big boy, but he is still crazy about his Mommy!!! :))

Don't Laugh at My Little Treaters

I was trying to get in the door quickly before the kids noticed all the Trick-or-Treaters, when all of a sudden my brother and his little boy popped onto my porch asking If we were gonna go TorT! I said Oh! nah! But he really wanted the kids to go with them, I said, "Nah, they don't even know it's Halloween." When a little voice (Landon's) from behind me said, "What? Nobody told me it was time to be Buzz!!!!!" So here are our 5 minute costumes. After, I painted rosy cheeks on Ella, Landon said, "Buzz wears paint too." And so that night he did! Eric was heading out the other night to get us a few treats and look what was on our porch!!! Hannah races for the broom and I raced for the camera!

The little fella climbed right down into my umbrella stand turned edger stand. Eric went on to get Ice Cream, meanwhile I decided to be brave a get some great shots to blog. I got outside alright, but couldn't get back in the house. I was scared, that little thing has a huge mouth. I was standing in a porch chair, when once again my precious Hannah to the rescue...she opened the porch window (that's missing the screen) and whispered, "Mommy, here! Come in through here!! In a flash I was safe, back inside my home where that ugly (yea, by this time he was ugly and scary) thang couldn't get me! When Eric got home he let him loose and that ferocious beast went on his merry way!! Yuck!! Possums are gross!!

Haney's Appledale Farm Field Trip

Last Friday the 3rd of October, me and my babies, met with my mom, my sister and her 4 little ones and a whole bunch of other homeschool families to tour the famous Haney's Appledale Farm!! We all had a blast, our tour guide Mr. Haney himself loaded us with lots of Apple info as we loaded our bags full of delicious APPLES!!! Please give me grace as far as my pictures are concerned...I was taking them with one hand as the other hand/arm was carrying a 9 month old and a diaper bag!! Until I got smart and decided to get the stroller from the van!! Silly Me!! Don't blame I had apples on the brian!!

How It all Began

Well, for the past couple of weeks, me and 2 of my friends, Jenn and Bekki have been tossing around potential names for our new business! One of my choices was "Pink Sassafras"!! Why? I LOVE Pink and the Sassafras tree actually has 3 completely different leaves that grow on that one tree (get the hidden meaning there? 3 different friends, 3 different leaves) Wow, I thought that was pretty amazing! Not to mention, the tree it's self is pretty, has a wonderful fragrance and sassafras is a cute word and fun to say, BUT it was voted OUT!!! I personally thought it was a fabulous name but it was my pick, so maybe I am bias!! :)

After posting the card, I told Hannah, Ah!! Shucks, I wanted to blog our Field Trip to the Apple Farm, but now I will have to wait a bit so I don't cause this post to go to the bottom of the page". Being the budding Genius that she is, she said, "Why don't you just make another blog for your Photography and Family and Homeschool stuff"!! "Excellent Idea!" I said. At first I tried to name my new blog "Boyd Photography", but it was unavailable. Then I remembered ... "Pink Sassafras"!!! And so it was and now it is....PINK SASSAFRAS!! I love it!! Hannah loves it! And That is how it all began!!
